About me

I am a freelance Interaction Designer and Front-end Developer. I am currently working with ina4, helping to build their client’s digital products and services.

I started my career with Regional Interactive Media, and was more recently employed as a Senior Digital Designer at Chapter Eight, a company that I helped to set up and subsequently worked with for 12 years.

During the last 19 years I have worked for a range of clients, including global businesses (Gulf Oil), charities (TVE and Charities Trust), leading UK newspapers (The Yorkshire Post) and football clubs (Aston Villa).

I am particularly interested in a user-centred, data driven approach; prototyping products and services early and often. I believe the strongest design comes from working as a team.

I am also looking for opportunities to volunteer, especially in the public digital sector. Feel free to give me a shout if you have a project that I might be able to help you with.

In no order of preference, if I was 18 and able to start out in the design industry again, these are the resources I’d tell myself to read.
